Founder & Dance Teacher :

I've been dancing since I was about 10 years old - a group of us started classes and I stuck it out! I competed (not very seriously) as half of an all-girl partnership as a teenager, then started to study for my teaching qualifications and became an Associate of the IDTA in 1986. Following university, I continued to dance socially and then started teaching on a regular basis again in 2006. I was part of the team at Abingdon Dance Studios between 2006-2011 and established Cheek2Cheek Dance in Lambourn in September 2007.
I love to dance - I hope you will love it too.

As far as I remember I danced as soon as I could walk. My dad was a ballroom dance teacher and we spent time at his classes and on many dance weekends on coaches having a sing a long. I loved it. I started doing exams at 7/8 years old and carried on from there. I helped Dad with classes throughout my teenage years up to 2007 when he retired. I decided to go locally in 2010 and met Colin, a strange coincidence that we both turned up new on the same day! Colin introduced me to Mark (who introduced me to Ali at some point) and we've been a lovely team since. We're so lucky to have the 3 of us at classes which allows us to be flexible and give attention where it's needed. We have a casual, social approach to teaching and our dancers are a very sociable group and attend various events we and others organise. If you don't think you can dance you'll soon be surprised.
